In the context of the current phase of the latest wave of democratization, the test examines the forms of hybridization that occur in the transitions of political systems, having regard to the lack of legitimacy of democratic systems formally the minimum requirements defined by political sociology and international agencies. In particular, the analysis of the case study of Chile allows to differentiate the ideal type of an incomplete democratization. The results extracted from the Latin American case also provide original research cues to the Atlantic debate on the nascent status of post-democracy.
