This work contributes to animate the scientific debate on sustainability in a double sense: a) by placing the need of stripping the term of ambiguous concepts wrongly attributed by the interpretative processes of modernity; b) to start a process of cultural construction of sustainability based on the redefinition of the roles of knowledge and on the man-nature relationship read in terms of interconnected-ness. The authors will present a new term: Mitakuyeability, a reinforcing form of the concept of sustainability rather than its reinterpretation, understood as the abil-ity to interconnect with all the possibilities of the universe that stimulates the abil-ity to take care and the definition of sustainable strategies of 2030 Agenda.
